Online Marketing Blueprint To Success- You owe It To Yourself  Part 10

It wasn't long after having  received my Wordpresss blog and all my other  sites I contracted for,  I soon realized my work was cut out for me in the marketing arena. Having been marketing the old school method for a couple of years, I was embarking on a new path of marketing. 

Having had experience in email marketing from  the old school method, this is where I purchased a monthly subscription for twenty five dollars to a system that's already to go and fully self contained with auto responders.

The company supplied the list of prospects to email to. The only thing left for me to do was to write the email letters to send to the prospects and load them in the auto responder. The company automatically sent the emails on a daily bases to the listed prospects. After a couple of months of this type of marketing, it was apparent to me that this was going nowhere fast.

Less than one half of a percent of all the emails that was  sent out were ever opened and the results was zilch. Perhaps I didn't give it as much time as I should have or my emails was not that enticing to respond to, or just my all around inexperience,  whatever the reason the results was still zero and I was out fifty bucks. 

The whole idea of  acquiring a Wordpress blog was to attract people to me and my business opportunity. This is called attraction marketing. I had learned that this is one of the strongest marketing strategy tools  a home based business owner can employ in their business.

In  traditional marketing, home based business owners put their businesses up front for people to join and they themselves become secondary to their marketing efforts. In attraction marketing, the business becomes secondary and the business owners are promoted first.

The reason for this is simple, you want to attract people that perhaps has the same interest as you or they relate to you and your situation and struggles in life.

One of the best ways to implement your attraction marketing strategies is through your blog,  Facebook, Twitter, Squidoo lenes, Hubpages, Wetpaint, and even email marketing. Use everything that would allow you to personally communicate with people that you want to share your business with.

When you start your article marketing campaigns, most articles directories require you to fill out your bio page, this is another great way to tell people a little bit about yourself and make sure to include some personal details about your life. Not only for article marketing, but for your social sites as well, put your bio everywhere you possibly can.  

One thing that was abundantly clear to me, I had to set up and auto responder on my site and offer something of value to entice the visitors to sign up for my free information on marketing on the Internet.

So off  I went to search for a good auto responder company with  a decent  monthly subscription price. Well, I found what I was looking for. Now, I had to write articles on marketing and compile all the information that I had learned.

So, I began to write some informative articles for my auto responder, I completed eight in total. I loaded them up and put the capture box on my site for the visitors to fill out to receive the free information. Now keep this in mind, when the visitors fill out their contact information for the free information, they will be on my emailing list for  marketing my business to them.

Remember, when you start building a mailing list, you don't want to email them every day trying to sell them something. I got on a list of a great marketer and I could have  learned a great deal from his experience, but I received an email every day and some days I would receive two emails from him trying to sell me something. The emails came so fast a furious I decided to get off his list and not receive his emails any longer. People don't want to be badgered on a daily bases, at least I don't.
